The amazing rollercoaster ride that was Bioshock Infinite has finally come to a close, and I will admit that I was caught by more than a few curveballs in the process. The game was a spectacular joy ride filled with wonderous story telling and scintillating graphics, and I am definitely sad to see it go.
From the start I will say that one of the most impressive aspects of the game was the stellar graphics that I was rewarded with for the meager performance required by the game. Rock solid 1080p resolution at 60 FPS, smooth for the entire duration of the game. Beyond this my eyes were treated to dazzling shaders and camera filters along with downright shocking lighting effects. Coupling this with a streamlined, easy to master gameplay system.. I really have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Bioshock Infinite the whole way thru.
I will miss my trusty carbine rifle, along with the gratuitous amount of headshots it afforded me. Combined with the shooting mechanics is the fantastic Vigors system, I was throwing lightning bolts and pushing away foes with waves of energy akin to some crazed Star Wars Sithlord wading through ranks of enemy rebels.
If you haven’t played Bioshock 1 or 2, don’t let this dissuade you from playing Bioshock Infinite. The story is still amazing, and it is just as much of an amazing experience. Don’t miss out of on this game!
